Summary: public_html directories allowed?

Initial Comment:
Is there any module to make something similar to what
apache does with public_html directories?
I need to active something like that in one of my
servers, but I'm a bit confused.
Thanks.

There's a simple public_html implementation in the aolserver
wiki:

While I know this capability used to be in the 2.x versions of AOLserver, it does not
appear to be in the current version. Your best bet is probably to create a registered
procedure to handle URL translation.
