For the record, I generally prefer tabs in my own work. Twenty years ago I worked with plenty of people who preferred tabs. Today, I think there's a change in the prevailing sentiment, but I'm sure you won't have to turn over too many rocks to find other tab-lovers.
(For work shared with others, I'm ambivalent, but tending to prefer spaces these days.)
