Because it compiled and ran fine without it (or any of the others you've had
to add) when I first wrote it. In fact, I just recently compiled it as is
on a RedHat 7.2 box and haven't had any problems.

But, less facetiously, I have just recently returned to using AOLserver in
some projects of mine and intend to update and maintain nsgd (although I
probably won't get around to doing anything for a couple of weeks---I'm off
to Boston for a workshop and when I return, I have three new classes for the
fall to prep). Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
