Ugh - sorry...

I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce two new AOL colleagues to
everyone. Scott Long ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) and Daniel Gilly (daniel6308) are
responsible for the AOLserver documentation for the upcoming 4.0
release. AOLserver 4.0 is in the final stages of production testing,
with the first non-beta release expected towards the end of the month.
Scott and Daniel have been added to this listserv, and look forward to
working with everyone to get the documentation updated as quickly as
possible. There is already a great wealth of AOLserver documentation and
information available that you all have provided - Scott and Daniel will
be working to consolidate it into one place.

The current plan calls for three guides to be completed in he following
order:

1. API Guide (C and Tcl APIs)
2. Development Guide (ADP best practices, example application)
3. Operations Guide (Configuration, tuning)

Your involvement is critical to help us get these guides completed in a
timely manner. We look forward to any feedback, suggestions, pointers to
existing documentation, and help that everyone can provide. I'd like to
also ask that we not spend time right now debating the formatting of the
documentation. ;-) Let's focus on getting all of the information
gathered and up to date, then we can talk about various output formats.
I can tell you that we will be providing the documentation online in a
searchable format.

Thanks in advance for the help I know everyone will provide.

PS - We're going to start up the weekly AOLserver chats again on
Thursdays. Stay tuned for announcement from Mark.

- Nathan
