Inside of AOLServer is http.tcl, by default I believe in the main tcl dir.  ns_httpopen is a proc inside that you can modify to write headers when you use the ns_httpget command.  If you know that a certain set of urls or domain..etc need the Auth data...put an if,switch,etc stmt to append Authentication header.
