What is AuxConfigDir support exactly, and why would you want it?

You don't REALLY want to use .ini rather than .tcl config files, do
you?  If, as I assume, AuxConfigDir just tells AOLserver to look in an
additional place for more config files, can't you just do that with
"source foo.tcl" instead?
