Interesting! I've noticed lately that my Win98 SE machine running IE 6.0 had been exhibiting this behavior, and I've been running 98SE/IE6 for many months and I've only started seeing this behavior recently. Apparently, there's a Microsoft IE6 SP1 hotfix but it's not a freely available download: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=817177 But, thanks for sending this to the list, Bernd. It was driving me nuts, and I was starting to wonder if it WAS something AOLserver was doing when serving up the images - like, maybe sending everything but the very last byte in the file, causing IE to spin waiting for it to finish, or something. I just wish Microsoft would fix this bug. It's frustrating having IE6 hang and then usually End-Task'ing IE causes the BSOD, which then requires a reboot. -- Dossy -- Dossy Shiobara mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Panoptic Computer Network web: http://www.panoptic.com/ "He realized the fastest way to change is to laugh at your own folly -- then you can let go and quickly move on."
