I would say that today, primary development is now divided between
Solaris 8 and Linux.  Of course, many more platforms are still
well-supported.

Interesting.  Is this reproducible in a non-production environment for
you?  In other words, could you reproduce this and send me a stack
trace?

I'd stick with Solaris and Linux, if possible.
