Today was the original target to have the Tcl API documentation complete, but unfortunately it's not done yet. Collectively, we did manage to get 142 out of 228 commands (62%) done, though! And, there are now step-by-step instructions on how to set up both PHP[1] and Wikit[2] out on the wiki, which have already helped several people.
I did offer two $25 awards to the two people who made the most significant contributions to the doc effort, but the stipulation was you had to email me telling me who you are and what you worked on. Unfortunately, no one has done that! Come forward and claim your prizes -- I'll be sending payment via PayPal. Otherwise, I'll consider all the contributions to the documentation as gracious volunteer efforts. I want to thank everyone who took the time to contribute documentation, read it and give feedback, as well as review it for accuracy! We wouldn't be as far along with the documentation if it weren't for all of you. I'll begin the process of converting the wiki pages to roff format, commit them to CVS and to generate the HTML manpages for publishing at aolserver.com in the next week or two. We'll see how much of it I can simply script away ... I hope everyone will continue to help adding documentation over time so we can complete the remaining 38% of the Tcl API. But, I know folks also wanted other documentation (tutorials, more HOWTO guides, etc.) -- now is your opportunity to speak up and discuss what documentation you'd like to see next. So, what do folks want? As usual, replies to me off-list are always welcome for those who wish to continue lurking. -- Dossy [1] http://panoptic.com/wiki/aolserver/1314 [2] http://panoptic.com/wiki/aolserver/1316 -- Dossy Shiobara mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Panoptic Computer Network web: http://www.panoptic.com/ "He realized the fastest way to change is to laugh at your own folly -- then you can let go and quickly move on."
