The design is in progress and under discussion -- limited to the people who I chat with on a regular basis. I'm working on it, in my spare time. I don't want to open a whole lengthy public discussion because those tend to become noisy and can get ugly since everyone has a different opinion ... which is great, but I've been saying that I want to revamp the DB API for years now and haven't and I feel bad about that. So, this time around, I'm just going to keep quiet, work on it, and when it's done, I'll release it.
