I don't believe that it is MacOS X specific given the nature of the fix.
However, the bug is harder to reproduce on other platforms, especially
when using MSIE as the browser.  MSIE's SSL implementation behaves
differently than Safari/Mozilla which causes this bug to manifest.

Once there is adequate testing of the patches, I will commit them to
CVS.  At that point, you may want to roll new Debian packages as well.
