One of the sites I recently upgraded to AOLserver 4 is still running out of idle threads, causing the site to appear to hang (I had hoped the upgrade would fix it). The thing that's odd about this is that the site with the problem is much *less* busy than the site that's running fine, and they both have the same number of threads configured (currently 10).
I could just keep increasing maxthreads but I have a feeling there is something wrong here. I was previously using "ns_server all" to tell me what the threads were doing, looking for signs of trouble, but I can't use that anymore as it eventually crashes the server. So, any suggestions on how else I can see what's going on and try to figure out what is clogging up all those threads?
thanks,
janine
