Hmmm, what kind of problems? I just built using 8.4.10 on OS X last night and it seems fine. Both Tcl and AOLserver compiled "by the book" without hitches.
OSX uses different notifier code as other Unices and the code there is OK. In attempt to fix an obscure notifier race-condition I damaged the 8.4.10 release so it did not compile on Linux/Solaris etc. The trouble was some weird gcc-4.0.0 error which *ignored* broken code at one place and it went into the 8.4.10 release with the bug. MY fault. Sigh... you can never be too cautious I guess. OTOH, you can't make an omellete without breaking some eggs... The 8.4.11 is OK in this respect. There have been some other minor things fixed there but they are not something you'd normally care for in AS, generally. The memory-leak in the allocator code is closed allright.
