If you are a good C (or any) developer, Tcl will be a no-brainer to pick
and won't be significantly slower than using C for building a website in
AOLserver. Get the book "Practical Programming in Tcl/Tk" (skip the Tk
part, which is most of the book) and spend a single afternoon reading,
you'll know all you need to know.

I don't think anyone ever develops an app based purely on C for AOLserver,
only modules to enable the use of other C libraries from within Tcl.
Honestly, for speed you don't have to do it.

Cheers,
Bas.
