Everyone, Thanks for letting me know that the AOLserver Wiki was down this morning.
According to logs, it ran out of memory around 01:40 AM US/Eastern, which prevented execution of PHP pages (MediaWiki) but not serve other traffic (which is why my automated monitoring didn't pick up the problem). I hadn't configured my monitoring scripts to specifically monitor the wiki, but just the server to make sure it was responding. I've bounced the server and the wiki is back up now at 11:30 AM US/Eastern. I've set it to automatically restart daily at 04:00 AM to try and keep this from happening again -- the nsd process had been running since October 15th or so which was its last restart -- until I can try to chase down the memory issue. I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused; I know many people rely on the information in the wiki and I hope this wasn't too disruptive for people. Also, I want to thank those who have been vigilantly keeping the spam off the wiki. Without your watchful care, the wiki wouldn't be as valuable as it is.
