The short answer is that yes, AOLserver is still maintained and
supported, although there's very few people working on it.

Jim Davidson and Nate Folkman have been working very hard on wrapping up
the changes for AOLserver 4.5.0 and I suspect it'll be tagged/released
It's true, just finishing up the release notes... Should have something "officially" tagged and released in the next couple of days.
