Bas,
the messages about the missing .a files are not nice, but you can ignore
them, since they
are not needed. The Makefile build a .dylib before it comes to the
static lib. since the
rest seems ok, i built with "make -i", since i saw no quick and obvious
way to deactivate the
build of the static libs. It would be nice if the build would be closer
to TEA.
Nathan, why is aolserver 4.5 building the static libs by default?
I noted as well another change. since i am building the c-modules (like
e.g. nscache, nssha1, ...)
outside the aolserver-tree, i used in earlier times INST denoted the
source directory of
the aolserver (like "make INST=$NS"). now INST means in the aolserver build
(global makefile) the installation program (like "install"), AOLSERVER
is the source
directory. Not a big deal, this can be easily changed in the c-modules
makefiles.
i have no idea, who is responsible for the makefiles of the c-modules,
but just a small
note that might help one to get aolserver 4.5 compiled and installed in
a similar situation.

As you can see, this is a ".dylib" on OS X.
Anoyone seen this before and/or have a fix?
Cheers,
Bas.
