Are there any other solutions out there that could let me pull in the some openSSL APIs and key mgmt functions to be able to do this?
I'll be more specific. ns_encrypt uses public key cryptography to encrypt data. In my own use, I have 3 boxes that help keep it secure. Data is encrypted using the public key that is on the main customer web server and then is stored on a separate database server. Another private workstation accesses the same database server and uses it's local private key to decrypt the data.
