Hi Dossy!

Finally, I did reinstall aolserver and now it works. Right permissions must be:

hostname:~ # ls -ld /usr /usr/local /usr/local/lib /usr/local/lib/tcl8.4 /usr/local/lib/tcl8.4/init.tcl
drwxr-xr-x 13 root root 4096 Nov 30 2005 /usr
drwxr-xr-x 17 root root 4096 Sep 16 11:02 /usr/local
drwxr-x--- 3 root root 4096 Sep 15 17:01 /usr/local/lib
drwxr-x--- 8 root root 4096 Sep 15 17:01 /usr/local/lib/tcl8.4
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 22845 Sep 15 17:01 /usr/local/lib/tcl8.4/init.tcl

So now, it works. Thanks :-)

This is my first message at these list so first of all thank you for a great product. I've been using Aolserver for 3 years and it is a great web server.

Thanks for the kind words!

" Error: Can't find a usable init.tcl in the following directories:
/usr/local/lib/tcl8.4 /usr/local/aolserver/lib/tcl8.4 /usr/local/lib/tcl8.4 /usr/local/aolserver/library /usr/local/library /usr/local/tcl8.4.12/library /usr/tcl8.4.12/library /usr/local/lib/tcl8.4
...
And the command "find /usr/local -name init.tcl" said:

"
/usr/local/lib/tcl8.4/init.tcl
/usr/local/aolserver-4.0.10/bin/init.tcl
/usr/local/aolserver-4.0.10/modules/tcl/nsperm/init.tcl
/usr/local/aolserver-4.0.10/modules/tcl/init.tcl
"

So aolserver didn't find init.tcl but it exist.

Can you show me the output of:

    $ ls -ld /usr /usr/local /usr/local/lib \
        /usr/local/lib/tcl8.4 /usr/local/lib/tcl8.4/init.tcl

My guess would be a permissions-related problem ...
