Synopsis: tar expects a second archive State-Changed-From-To: open-closed State-Changed-By: marc State-Changed-When: Mon Jul 14 12:43:36 PDT 1997 State-Changed-Why: The archive is fine and you have all the files you need, but your version of tar is just dealing with it oddly. I will look into remaking the tarball so od tars don't complain when I get a chance.
