And the stuff that's zombied is the cgi > itself? nope. the httpd processes themselves were zombies. but thinking back, i may have been mistaken, because I killed the server, and saw zombies. but those might have been the children exiting. and yeah, i'm running a few nph cgi's. just shell scripts that print stuff as they run. but they weren't running when the server is in it's hung state.
