Synopsis: Using a C compiler is onerous, egregious, an abomination of catastrophic proportions State-Changed-From-To: open-closed State-Changed-By: marc State-Changed-When: Mon Oct 26 14:43:44 PST 1998 State-Changed-Why: Do you have any idea how many different Unix platforms there are? Binaries are provided for some, but keeping them up to date for hundreds of platforms isn't practical. It really isn't that tough to compile Apache once you have a compiler, and if installing a compiler on your OS is difficult then that is really a problem with your OS.
