I installed the Apache service by selecting "Install Apache as Service (NT Only)" in the Start Menu. 2. I had installed a previous version of Apache a long time ago, but I had uninstalled it (so I thought). I don't remember in which directory I had installed it, but it was probably C:. 3. I did not try to uninstall and reinstall the service, because I hacked it into working by editing the registry. However, now that it works, when I do uninstall and reinstall the service, it works properly. 4. Now that my Apache server is up and running, I'm afraid I can't take it down and try to recreate the problem. Sorry. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, July 26, 1999 1:37 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; apache-bugdb@apache.org; [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: os-windows/4755: Apache fails to install correctly as an NT service [In order for any reply to be added to the PR database, you need] [to include <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> in the Cc line and make sure the] [subject line starts with the report component and number, with ] [or without any 'Re:' prefixes (such as "general/1098:" or ] ["Re: general/1098:").
