Running a standalone worked just fine (I created an alternate mount point and pointed it to the same manually-started JVM using ajpv11://-----) but the load balanced mount point failed, returning 'an error returned handling request via protocol "balance"' as the result. I had similar failures with two hosts. Once I got up to three, the problems all went away. Along the same lines, sending HUP to the parent server process resulted in the children becoming zombie-ed for a while (until Apache sent SIGKILL). >How-To-Repeat:
>Fix: I'm not sure if this is merely a design point that wasn't clearly documented. All of the examples I see always have at least three ApJServHost-s in the config file. >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted: [In order for any reply to be added to the PR database, you need] [to include <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> in the Cc line and make sure the] [subject line starts with the report component and number, with ] [or without any 'Re:' prefixes (such as "general/1098:" or ] ["Re: general/1098:").
