It happened again.

The truss showed this:

poll(0xEFFFDCA8, 0, 1073742)    (sleeping...)

I tried an apachectl restart and nothing happened.  Finally, I tried an
apachectl stop and instead of stopping it starting operating as normal.  I
did not have the truss going at that time unfortunately.
