OK, sorry, found it.

I keep finding parts of the docs that were somehow hidden before, or I
just did not know where to look. I don't know if this is a tribute to
the docs, or just to my enormous ignorance. Perhaps a little of both.
Anyways, the document that I was looking for is at
http://dev.apache.org/apidoc/ - so it's technically not part of the
Apache documentation at all. Given the nature of the doc, that's
probably appropriate, but perhaps the API.html in the docs should at
least contain a link to it. I'll wait to see if there are any comments
in response to my first note.
