I was on Amazon.com when I saw this curious header from their web server...


HTTP/1.1 200 OK Date: Sat, 23 Aug 2003 16:52:05 GMT Server: Stronghold/2.4.2 Apache/1.3.6 C2NetEU/2412 (Unix) mod_fastcgi/2.2.12 nnCoection:close Transfer-Encoding: chunked Content-Type: text/html 2000



Aparently they run Apache 1.3.6. So when you think you need to go to Apache 2.x you should think about the fact that Amazon.com does millions of dollars of business on Apache 1.3.6.
