My RPMS located at ftp://ftp.joshie.com/incoming/NEW_APACHE_FP/ are running in production on my main web hosting server. I found that my PHP 4.3.3 was sick in some way. Not sure what is up with it, but I took php-4.1.2-7.3.6 from Red Hat and it works like a charm. I'm sure my 4.3.3 probs are in how I compiled it since 4.1.2 works fine.

I was able to connect to the admin pages on my server and I was able to use Frontpage 2003 client to open my websites. I tested inserting WebBots and they ran just fine. All seems to be fine with this Apache FP and it is a big improvement because as a DSO you have the ability to disable if you want and the code is not altering Apache's source in order to play. I left in my suexec patch however so that you can have ~personal sites that you can edit with Frontpage. I used the Interactive Buttons WebBot on my own home page so I know it's all good. You can see it at...

I will begin to alter the instructions to tell people how to install and also how to upgrade from the old non-DSO. Please bring up any issues here in the Apache-FP list ( http://lists.joshie.com/ ) or on Bugzilla. ( http://bugzilla.joshie.com/ ) Remember that I'm doing this all for you guys so please feel free to ask me for anything. If I was doing this for myself I'd just have upgraded my systems and been done with it. Also this revision of mod_frontpage is the one that is used in Apache2. So that means if you get yourself working with this then you can upgrade to Apache2 and then just install mod_frontpage.c with apxs and you would be on Apache2 with no hassle at all.

Have a quiet weekend.
