I personally use Sendmail with Dracd and Qpopper. http://www.ls-l.net/drac/

Dracd logs the ip address for 30 minutes when someone checks for mail and you tell Sendmail to allow relaying for the logged ip addresses. Instructions are at the above link. Its says Dracd works for RedHat 7 and 8 and 9 but it also works for Mandrake 9.2. Also the Qpopper that is there is for 7.x but it also works for 8 and 9 as well as Mandrake.

I think the newer version of Sendmail has something built in but I never learned to use it.

Hey,
How do you guys that run hosting services handle dishing out email
accounts to your customer, what do you use i.e. sendmail, and how do you
handle mail relaying ?
I am starting to host some outside sites, and would like to be able to
relay mail safely, but not sure what’s the best way to do it.
Thanks,
Bryan
