Well, the 27th time was the charm ;-) After discovering the md5 sum was wrong on the source file, I downloaded it *yet* again, checked the md5 sum and it was okay. Burned another cdrom and it passed the media check in the Fedora install utilities.
I have downloaded and burned a fair amount of RH stuff over the years and never have I had so much trouble. It is just amazing. Sorry the resolution of the problem was so simple - I suppose you never should assume anything - Like Ronald Regan once said, "trust, but verify." Cheers all, John canfield Oh, by the way.. I thought it was interesting that Fedora and RH 9.0 did recognize the onboard SIS whatever number it was video controller and Mandrake and SuSe just gave me a nice yellow pattern on the screen. I wanted to play with those as well. _______________________________________________ Apache-FP mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.joshie.com/mailman/listinfo/apache-fp Donations: http://www.amazon.com/paypage/PT5LZITM9L227
