hey folks, I could *very much* use some help getting FP2002 working. I would be tremendously appreciative for any advice.
I've been running older FP extensions using an alternate module which allows use of FP with suexec. Now I'm trying to get my existing sites to work with FP2002 and Apache 2. My understanding is that apache 2 w/ suexec will only work if I load suexec as the mod_suexec DSO, and load mod_frontpage first. So I'm doing that. My apache 2 compilation seems to be fine, and seems to load mod_frontpage okay. My frontpage sites seem to load okay with my new Apache 2 and mod_frontpage -- e.g. a frontpage hit counter will work fine -- but I'm having two problems which I see evidence that other folks have had but I haven't managed to follow suggested fixes to get things to work. On one hand, I can't publish -- I am just prompted for username and password over and over again. On the other hand, POSTs to frontpage forms fail. I get the (104)Connection reset by peer: ap_content_length_filter: apr_bucket_read() failed, referer: error, which I've also seen other places. I've pulled out mod_suexec, and I've tried to ensure that AllowOverride All is defined for all the relevant directories.
