It took me a while but have successfully installed the FP2002 extensions on
Apache2 running on the new Suse 9.1 release.
My solution is brute force at this point - to avoid the apparent problems
with the install_sh apparent incompatibility with the Include directives in
httpd.conf, I flattened the file using a vi read following each Include
(then commented out the include)
Ugly, but it worked.
One must also read throuh the httpd.conf file and make accurate entries for
the dummy examples where noted.
Also note that, in my configuration, one of the included files was creating
a test virtual web on port 80, on top of (in conflict with) the main server.
I edited it into some other port.
Also, there was one point where an install step was looking for
httpd-prefork.conf.
My solution was to link (ln) my flattened file to both httpd.conf and
httpd-prefork.conf to keep everyone happy.
So far, so good. Administering thru //localhost:8090 not working yet. I can
bring up the administration pages but attempting to do something results in
IE6 trying to download the command rather than executing it on the server.
Good Luck
All this for a hit counter........ :)
