Chris:

Sally is, unusually for her, not completely correct. In fact we have extended 
the deadline until Nov 11, a Sunday, because those two extra weekend days are 
in my experience likely to greatly increase the likelihood of submissions. 
Nowadays even open sourcerers are so busy that they have to wait until the 
weekend to find time to pursue their passion.

We still need talk and tutorial proposals, so I will be very interested to see 
what you come up with.
