ApacheCon will be over before you know it. Make sure that you're giving
some thought to what you'll do there. Here's some things you can do to
start getting ready:

* When are you getting there? If you're getting in early, or staying
late, we have an etherpad at
https://public.etherpad-mozilla.org/p/aceu-2016-people where, if you are
so inclined, you can tell the rest of the community when you're
arriving, so that we can socialize before and after the event. If you
are familiar with the Sevilla area, and know what's good - places to
eat, things to do - please make a note in the etherpad so that the rest
of us can benefit from your experience.

* What are you working on? A huge benefit of ApacheCon is the time to
collaborate with your project community. Tell the world what you'll be
working on by putting your hackathon plans in
https://public.etherpad-mozilla.org/p/aceu-2016-hackathon and tell your
users@ and dev@ list about it. This is a great way to attract new people
to your community.

* Join us on IRC on the #apachecon channel on the freenode.org IRC
network. If you have questions, someone there will be able to help. Or
just come hang out, before and during the event.

* Follow us on @apachecon on Twitter for more information about the
event as it gets closer. We'll be announcing important dates, on-site
events, and things you might want to know.

* The schedule is live at http://apachecon.com/ Please help us promote
talks by tweeting about them, posting the schedule to your other social
media channels, and telling your colleagues. Registration is still open,
and rates go up on November 3rd, so do it now!

* Encourage people in your community to join this mailing list, even if
they're not going to be at ApacheCon. It's never too early to start
promoting the next ApacheCon event, which, by the way, will be held May
15-19, 2017, in Miami, Florida, USA.

See you in Sevilla!
