I'am not familiar with slackware try to use : slackpkg search mysql to
find the right name of the package then install it.

the error : 'APE.MySQL is not a constructor' mean you didn't compiled your
server with mysql support. If you are on debian try ape-get install
libmysqlclient-dev and run again build.sh then it should work.

Anyway, I spent few days with MySQL in APE and couldn't get working
any example. It seems to me that compilation of ape is completed with
MySQL implementation as of in libmod_spidmonkey.so I see some
functions including keywords 'mysql'. (This library file is 1337921
bytes length.) After carefully reading APE Wiki documentation I found
only few js fragments and some advices how to use mysql functions. But
still I'm getting APE response 'APE.MySQL is not a constructor'.
I couldn't find any complete project example with MySQL. There was
some links to imaginary projects but either the links are broken or
only fragment of the project is shown.
Any advice is appreciated
