Hi,

Instead of launching APE with a startup script, launch it from the aped binnary. How did you installed your APE Server from source or RPM?

- If you installed it from source open ape.conf set daemon = no and then go to the bin directory and type ./aped and
check the outpout
- If you installed APE from RPM open /etc/ape/ape.conf set daemon = no then type /usr/bin/aped --cfg /etc/ape/ape.conf and check the output

Regargs.

Hi all.
I'm trying to install APE on a Centos 5 server via SSH.

I followed
http://www.ape-project.org/wiki/index.php/Centos/Red_Hat/Fedora_Startup_Script
but what i receive is

[CIPS]# /etc/init.d/aped start
Starting APE... [FAILED]

Could you please provide some advice about?

Thx very much,
Max
