Hi Tom,
On Mac OS you can list all open ports and associated application with
this command :
lsof -i -n
This will help you to find what is the application that is using 6969 port.
Cheers.

Hi all,
I'm having a problem getting APE to run. First a bit of info:
I'm using the APE 1.0 version of the project on my Mac OSX (snow
leopard). I have created the virtualhosts and entries in my configs,
like specified in the wiki (ape-test.local). I'm running the aped
script as a root, and in the ape.conf I have specified a correct user
and group.
Every time I try to run the aped script to get the server going, I get
the "ERREUR: bind(6969) (need root?)" message. I'm aware that this is
mentioned briefly in the wiki, but the suggestions there don't help me
at all. I have tried these suggestions, but I'm hitting a wall.
Nothing is running on that port, I have verified. I have even rebooted
several times, just to be sure that the aped script wasn't previously
running and thus blocking things. No avail.
Does anyone here have experience running APE on a Mac, and if so, do
you have any suggestions for me?
Thanks!
Tom
