I already did that, my functions and hashes are in place. But using
sessions, all tabs of one browser reattach to the same session, resulting in
one common user object and pubid - without any counts.

I am currently experimenting with having the client send a random id per tab
so I can do some tracking there, but that's not what I was hoping to be
doing when on the server side the whole problem already has been tackled
internally.
