Thanks Felix, that's a step in the right direction. Now, I know that I have to find .so files which is very helpful.
However, I have tried /usr/lib/mysql/ (which is empty but contains a 'plugin' directory with a few so inside but none with mysql in their name, mainly examples) /usr/lib/mysql/plugin (see above) /usr/lib/mysql-workbench/ (contains quite a few .so files and some of them have mysql or sql in it) /usr/lib/ (a few sql .so files too there) None of them worked. Would you be so kind as to give me the name of one .so file that I should be looking for? It might help. Thx again for your effort. Nicolas.
