Some how I'm getting relatively a close error to yours, I guess. I installed ape on a virtual machine running ubuntu, and it's working fine there. But I it doesn't if I try to access it from the host machine which is windows, though I know the OS won't matter here, 'cause it's just a client. Ape is running on port 6969, and when I run the Check Tool on the guest OS it says everything running successfully, but if I run the same test on the host OS, or conversationally another OS on the network, it fails saying
"Can't contact APE Server. Please check the your APE Server is running and the folowing url is pointing to your APE server : http://ape.local.ape-project.org:6969" I'm expecting this problem to be in the IP, but I don't know how to fix this, because I can't run ape on port 80 since its used for the apache server. Anyways, I'm still working on it, but if anyone could help, it would be much appreciated.
