Timers are buged in APE 1.0
You should upgrade to the last git version.
Anyway, setInterval and clearInterval are not defined. You should use
Ape.set/clearInterval

top the declarations for:
setTimeout = Ape.setTimeout;
setInterval = Ape.setInterval;
Just add in 2 extra lines:
clearTimeout = Ape.clearTimeout;
clearInterval = Ape.clearInterval;
and everything will work fine.
