I got your method:
Pull request = Client < APE
Send request = Client > PHP(inlinepush) > APE

But for me, i think sometimes i'll find it not the best way when i
meet this situation:
Client > PHP (inlinepush) > APE
APE will now do something before pushing to client, in case APE surely
needs info from database, PHP took care.
But sometimes it may or may not need info from database, then to make
things work, PHP must take from database.
And when it comes to a lot of code, this leads to something redundant.

Not sure if what i'm thinking is right though...
