Hi guys, I've got Ape on my production server for over a week now and I saw that my log file was about 2 GB big and that it was causing IO Wait problems. (it's logging every user connecting to Ape, that were averagely over 30 people each minute..)
Now I've tried to disable the logs in the ape.conf file (setting it to zero), but after restarting the service it still made a log file and I still had the problem. Then I've tried to chmod the log file to read-only for root user, but it ignored that(?) Now I've changed the log path to blank. It's not creating a log file anymore, but is outputting the logs in the lines in the commandline. I've just closed the program, but now I'm only wondering if that's okay. Does this have negative effects? Martin -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "APE Project" group.
