i reminded script to manage start, stop and restart as service, this script initialy used for launching minecarft work, i tested it for my son server.. http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Tutorials/Server_startup_script i think it will be a good start for remade complete start/stop/restart script for APE..
