Make sure ape is running on your server. You can launch it in the console by setting "deamon = no" in ape.conf file. You'll then see some output in the console when your run ./aped.
One ape is running in the console, you can test everything is fine by going in your browser to "aaa.aaa.aaa.aaa:6969" where "aaa.aaa.aaa.aaa" is your server IP address. If it works, you should see "ape server: no command given" on the browser page. Refer to the wiki on GitHub for more info on how to setup ape.
