There is still the problems
- that someone might have changed the file in the mean time.
- that dixtools doesent conserve *all* changes (it re-aligns the entries)
SVN is fairly OK to resolve the problems, so perhaps you could do something
like this:
- svn up
- load data in DB
- write reformatted .dix file
- if svn diff { svn commit -m "Reformatted .dix" }
- work in DB
- write .dix from DB file
- svn up // incorporate other user's changes
- svn commit -m "Data from users"
Come to the chat if you need this idea elaborated. Jim or Fran can probably
see what I mean and could explain in depth.
