Hello,
I am a student in Germany doing my Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering.
Sadly enough I heard about the application time for GSoC opening yesterday for
the first time but I have not been a participant in any of the discussions of
the application ideas with the Mentoring Organization since I missed the date
for that.
I am very interested in the two ideas up on the Ideas Page of Apertium. One
being Apertium on the Phone and the other being making ittoolbox-java
embeddable. Both being Java Language based. I have quite some experience with
Java programming back at school and then in the University, though I wouldn't
term myself an expert.
I really was very interested in the ideas and want to be a part of this very
much. I wanted to request guidance if it would be possible for me to be a part
of the project, although it is very hard for me to understand how one would go
about the situations in the given ideas, while I do fit into the required
skills field.
