Hello all,

I've just committed a new version of apertium-lex-tools to SVN.

* The compiled file format has completely changed. Now I'm using _real_
  letter transducers instead of chains of regular expressions.

* The names of the utilities apertium-lrx-comp and apertium-lrx-proc
  are now lrx-comp and lrx-proc (thinking about your RSI!)

* It's about 10-20 times faster. I just did a small test of 100,000
  words with 1186 rules and got ~3 seconds. e.g. ~30k words/sec.

* The XML file format is exactly the same.

* Some bugs in the old version have been fixed. Such as case handling,
  and the fact that sometimes tags didn't get processed properly. Also,
  dealing with pairs with non-latin based alphabet shouldn't be a
  problem now.

* The code is much cleaner. (imho)

Anyway, I welcome comments, suggestions and bug reports! I'm hoping to
release a "stable" version by the end of this month.

Fran
