The obvious things missing for lttoolbox conversion are that it needs '%alphabet', '%dic' needs to be extended to take a name and a type, there ought to be escaping for the special characters, and it should be unicode by default. I assume (3') and (3) are together, because I don't think[1] either is a 3 month project.
