Hello everyone,
I am a third year undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Information
Systems. I am interested to work with Apertium for GSoC 2013.
I have worked on Probabilistic Graphical Models with RooStats(CERN), for
Google Summer of Code - 2012. The project consisted of construction and
sampling of Bayesian Belief Networks.
Currently, I am working on a project on Text Summarization of Web mined
article reviews using Natural Language Processing techniques. The project
is intended to give added functionality to the reader's repository of our
Institute's library.
I am also interested in User Interface design and have done a project on
the same for an Android Application. Currently I am doing a team project on
Wireless Network Management where I have to design and develop the UI.
As a semester course, I am doing programming languages and compilers, and
have basic knowledge of the same.
I am really interested in Probabilistic Graphical Models, Natural Language
Processing. I have gone through the list of projects provided on GSoC-2013
ideas page and the excellent wiki provided. Right now, I am a bit confused
in choosing the project, so I am going through the following:
- Discontiguous Multiwords
- Corpus-based lexicalised feature transfer
- Visual Interface to write Structural Transfer rules
It would be great if a mentor could provide few insights, to guide me
through the project.
Thank you .
